Tyson Hanes, a country music singer/songwriter,  was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie.  He spent his younger years playing sports, riding bmx bikes and racing motocross. Along with the adrenaline rush he got from racing, he also developed a passion for country music.

Tyson was raised listening to many genres of music playing in the background to whatever he was doing. He began singing in his high school guitar class and with some encouragement from teachers; he began to take his talent seriously and formed a band named Asylum Country. They became known for their upbeat performance style and wildly entertaining stage shows. The band had much success throughout the Algoma Region.

Tyson knew, however, that if he really wanted to put his talent to the test, he would have to move to Nashville, Tennessee. At the age of 23, he left his hometown and drove his motorcycle to Nashville to make a name for himself in Music City USA. He was immediately hired to play full time shows at The World Famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge on Broadway. Fueled by passion and adrenaline, Tyson began making a name for himself in the home of Country Music.

From sing-alongs to crowd surfing, climbing on top of speakers and beer trucks, to smashing guitars on stage, nothing is off the table when it comes to entertaining his audience and ensuring an amazing time is had by all.

Now, years later, he plays to packed shows with roaring crowds. As he continues his music career, he looks forward to the upcoming release of his album “State Of Emergency” and performing for all of his current & future fans!
