SooToday Stage Two is rockin ROTARYFEST beside the Art Gallery of Algoma on Saturday, July 20, 2019


1:00pm: Planet Rock – Hip Hop

Kick your afternoon off with Planet Rock. DJ Seith and MC St. James will have you up on your feet with their energetic sound.


1:30pm: Jillian Katzenback – Alternative Pop

19-year old Jillian Katzenback is an up-and-coming alternative pop singer/songwriter. She is freshly back from Austin, Texas, where she was recording 7 new songs with Charlie Magnone. Her first EP will drop the day of her performance on Stage 2.


2:30pm: The Crossroad Magdalenes – Country Folk

Greg Maclachlan and Christina Foster are a guitar duo blending alt country and old folk styles with new twists and cool harmonies. Aaron Dunn adds a tremendous groove with his unique percussion set up. Together the trio has a great sound and a fun vibe.


3:30pm: Hannah Lindsay – Folk/Pop

Growing up in the Sault with Alberta roots, Hannah Lindsay takes inspiration from her surroundings and experiences to deliver original Pop/Folk works alongside Shane Storozuk and Beau Whitfield. In 2017 she released her 1st single "Speak Your Mind", and is currently in the works of recording her 1st EP.


4:30pm: Peach Thieves – Jazz/Rock

A funky jazz/rock trio consisting of former Algoma University music students playing a variety of original music as well as classic jazz standards with a modern twist.


5:30pm: Jack Pine – Alt-Folk

JUNO and Canadian Folk Music Awards nominated Jack Pine (Singer-Songwriter-Producer Gareth Auden-Hole) plays acoustic guitar and mandolin and spits wry words. His style of songwriting has been described as “gritty” “groovy” “moody” “twangy” and “rockin”. Take him in as he passes through town just in time for Rotaryfest!


7:00pm: Northwest – Rock & Roll

Inspired by The Gaslight Anthem, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, The Flatliners, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers etc., Northwest crafts anthemic, melodic rock & roll songs with a punk rock edge that will be sure to raise some fists in the air. The band has recently dropped their second EP, “Songs from 2015-2017.”


8:00pm: K.I.C.K. – Rock

With a wide range of sound from danceable to rockin’, K.I.C.K. (or “Keep It Cool Kids”) has music that tells stories of growing up in Northern Ontario, love, hate and bank robberies. After a brief hiatus, they’re back to get your summer rocking.
