AlgoRhythms is a local band that performs an eclectic variety of  Country, Folk and Swing. They are active in fundraising for ARCH and the Soup Kitchen. Kelly McGillivray, Frank Bock, Ron McLean and Pete Cooper can be seen entertaining at the Mike Case Memorial Bandstand at the Big Moose Ice Cream parlour (Trading Post), Reggies and at the Water Tower Pub.

Although SideFX is new to the Sault music scene, former Peace Vibe band mates, Tony Kajnar, Marty Siltanen, Dave Chartrand have joined together with Tony Fabiano of Griphook to bring loads of experience to the band. Groove to their enthusiastic renditions of music from the psychedelic era of the 60’s and 70’s, mixed with rock hits through the decades.

Celebrating 50 years of hits, BEATLES ‘69 will feature the songs from Beatlemania to the White Album. You will be singing along with Rusty McCarthy, Liam Seymour, Stuart Bolduc, Lindsay Pugh and Doug Wilde while they pay tribute to the Fab Four! The lads in this great band play locally in many bands. Diverse and talented, they appreciate the genius that was the Beatles.

Encore is a local PARTY ROCK band that covers great rock music from the 60’s to present day.  Inspired by bands such as Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty and Led Zeppelin, party goers will have fun singing along and grooving to the vibe. With exceptional vocals, Rich Trevisanut, David Repath, Rob Marcil, Janet Brown and Paul Glassford invite you to enjoy Rotaryfest with ENCORE!

Soundcheck is a local favorite that loves to play live as much as possible, where ever possible, and to whomever loves live music.  Travis Sharpe, Terry Eaton, Paul Belair and Glen Thomas play a variety of genres, including new, classic and country rock, and enjoy searching out new audiences and get them rocking to their music.

Mid Life Crysis has been playing local hot spots since January 2004 with no signs of slowing down.  Dan Hodgson, David Kettles, Lori Reinholtz and Roger Nenonen play a repertoire of primarily 80’s top 40 songs but it also ranges from 60’s to current hits. Bob Seger to BTO, MLC is sure to please an audience until maximum fun is reached.

Griphook is an established hard rock band that has entertained crowds in Northern Ontario for seven years. Their repertoire includes a variety of songs that span many eras of rock and roll. This year marks Griphook’s fifth performance on RF Stage 1.  Tony Fabiano, Brian Oja, Dan Beaupré, and Joel Syrette guarantee their music will please any audience.

Odd Man Out is a jam rock band based in Sault Ste. Marie with a singer from South Korea.  It features 2 epic lead guitars (Stephen and Chris Myers), a sexy sax (Josh Norling), a groovy bass (Mike Fera), funky drumming (Cliff Alloy) and power vocals (Nick Roy).  OMO just finished recording their 2nd album entitled "Wake Up" with music recorded in SSM and vocals recorded in South Korea.  Sound Crazy? It’s Crazy Good!  Don’t miss Odd Man Out on Stage 1!

Sailor’s Tongue sees the return of Kyle and Dean McKey and Jeff Brown to the Rotaryfest stage. This talented trio played its first show in the gym of R.M. Moore elementary school in 1997. They eventually became a local favorite on the SSM music scene. A few years have gone by since then but it’s still the same three “kids” rockin’ out!


JULY 19TH - FRIDAY – 9:00-10:00 pm


Jesse Merineau is looking forward to headlining Stage 1 after bringing in the largest crowds at Stage 2 over the past two years!  This talented young Alt Indie/Pop Rock artist who is breaking into the music industry with original songs like “That Night,” will perform his new single "She Knows" which has gotten a lot of attention and has helped Jesse's audience grow province-wide! Jesse and his band (Spencer Pine, Anthony Marcello, Brendan Fitzgerald, Trey Piraino) have been on tour, performing at legendary places like The Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto and Mavericks in Ottawa. For his loyal fans and future fans, this will be a must see performance! Jesse said "We are giving it our all in our hometown this summer. Next year I'll be living in Toronto, and I will be very sad to perform less frequently in SSM."

Bone Yard is a high energy rock, blues and country rock band that appeals to music fans of all ages. The band has entertained crowds in local nightclubs, at benefits and at summer festivals since 2009. Greg Simpson, Alex D’Ettore, Brad Stephen and Ric Datson are some of the Soo’s most experienced players, bringing cool harmony vocals and a level of musicianship you don’t see every day.

Obsession has been around a long time and for good reason, when you hear them play, you will see and hear a professional band that plays a wide variety of music from country to rock. Jim Michaud, Valerie Powley, Steve Porco and Gabe Tessaro bring years of experience in diverse genres of music, covering songs by Bob Seger, Janis Joplin, April Wine, The Eagles and many more!

L!ME is a multi-genre band comprised of four students from Korah Collegiate. Bonded through their passion for performing they have played at many local venues including The Canadian, the John Rhodes Centre and Algoma University.  Madi Schomogyi, Tobias Chong, Ethan Bedley and Braiden Bryant are excited to share their music with the Rotaryfest audience.

If you would like to hear a little Jazz in the Afternoon, make sure you are at Rotaryfest to hear the incomparable sounds of the Northern Jazz Ensemble. The original “Jazz Night at Docks” founders, NJE has been active for 27 years. Judi Holmes, Steve Ryan, Marc Dubreuil, Martin Virta, Earl Marek and J. Holmes will offer up jazz and pop tunes for your listening pleasure.

Mark Tarantini has recreated the very best songs in this tribute to Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. known professionally as JOHN DENVER! Mark and his band (Michel Levac, Jamie Stopes, Aubrey Falls, Ric Datson) have travelled along the North Shore performing this show to SOLD OUT crowds.  Denver began his music career with folk music groups during the late 1960s. In the 1970s, he was one of the best-selling solo artists of the decade. By 1974, Denver was described as "one of the most beloved entertainers of his era” appearing in films and television specials. With songs like “Take Me Home Country Roads”, “Rocky Mountain High”, “Thank God I’m A Country Boy” and “Sunshine on my Shoulders”, Mark knows you can’t help but sing along with him.

Vocal powerhouse Kt Antler and talented guitarist Kyle McKey return home for this long-awaited Rotaryfest Stage 1 performance! Currently residing in Petawawa, SSM’s loss is the Ottawa Valley’s gain, where this dynamic duo performs all over the region.  Kt & Kyle, accompanied by Ottawa Valley Music scene veterans Tom Martel and Grant Tomkinson will once again WOW you with rock, country and pop music.

Billed as “3 Days of Peace & Music,” Woodstock is arguably to this day the single most profound event in the history of music. Acts from all around the world met at Max Yasgur’s farm in Bethel, NY on August 15-18, 1969 for a celebration of peace and music. What began as a paid event ($18.00 3-day ticket) drew so many people from across the world that the fences were torn down and it became a free concert open to the public.  Half a million youthful individuals gathered at Woodstock 1969 creating the largest gathering of human beings in one place in history and sent a message to the world that individuals could come together peacefully to celebrate music! The Soo’s Rusty McCarthy has produced an entertaining review, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the festival. Songs by Woodstock Artists such as Crosby Stills & Nash, Blood Sweat & Tears, Joe Cocker, Santana, Melanie, The Band, The Who, Canned Heat, Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin will be covered by talented SSM musicians. House band: McCarthy, Chris Johns, Lindsay Pugh, Doug Wilde, Josh Norling, Jay Dinsdale, Ken Suriano, Valerie Powley, Stuart Bolduc, & Maja Bannerman. Relive the music of the event that defined an entire generation and its effects on music and American culture that can still be felt today.
